Grumpy Moose One Day Film-making course
We’d love to welcome any and all budding film makers to our one-day film making course! Grumpy Moose has been running film-making summer schools for years, and we’re excited to now offer our skills and expertise to a one-day course at Pocklington Prep School, open to pupils in years 5-7.
During the day, students will be introduced to the skills of film-making, looking at genre, camera tips, storyboarding, shots, filming, acting and editing! Working with Zsófia, a professional videographer and Grumpy Moose’s film instructor, and Adam, our resident drama instructor, students will be supported and guided through every stage of the film-making process, with the goal of making their own 10 shot film by the end of the day. With a piece of music and an outline, they will have the time to plan their film, decide what shots they want, write their dialogue and then perform, film and edit their work in time for the end of day screening – We promise a busy day!
No experience is necessary!
The course will run on February 28th, from 9 AM – 5 PM.
The full course will cost £55 per student. Participants will not need to bring anything except their imagination and willingness to get stuck in – students will be using prep school tablets to film and edit, and we have a whole box of props! Please note, the price does not include lunch – students should bring a packed lunch with them for the day.
